Cultural Olympiad Launch at St Denys Community Centre

As part of the National Launch of the Cultural Olympiads, The St Deny’s Community Centre opened there doors today and came alive with culture. I was able to visit the centre today taking part in this launch. Children and adults were able to make an ‘Olympic Wish’ and tie it to the tree. People were able to look at stilt walkers, street theatre performance or try your hand at some circus skills.
Others were able to create a Clay Sculpture Garden and have a go at a range of arts and crafts activities.
Indoors, there was worldwide food tasting provided by twicks and other children were able to have a go at dj’ing.
All these different activities were able to show the the diverse nature of the community.
