The Conservative Administration have agreed to freeze council tax for the next year. We also kept our promises to invest our roads and pavements, protect SureStart and Libraries and invest in more social workers to help vunerable children.

Unlike other councils, such as Manchester and Liverpool, who are closing leisure centres and libraries, we have been able to protect the front line services people tell us they care about.

This is because we have taken decisive action over the past few years to cut out waste and bureaucracy and promote jobs and employment in the city.

Regrettably, Labour have no credible plan to deal with our current financial situation and their lack of an alternative budget means two things;

Higher Council Tax Rises
More cuts to services & more council jobs lost
